Timber veneer is a sought after premium decorative finish that adds prestige, natural warmth and
ambience to any project. Timber veneer is real timber that has been sliced or peeled to maximise
nature’s resources. A highly sustainable use of timber where one cubic metre of log produces around
1000 square metres of veneer.

Used in interior applications for furniture, joinery, wall and ceiling panelling, timber veneers can be
moulded and curved and can be pressed onto a wide variety of substrates making them a versatile
material suitable for applications that solid timber or pre-finished ‘timber look’ board products cannot
achieve easily or cost effectively.

With one of the largest veneer presses in the Southern Hemisphere, we fabricate veneer panels in-house
to suit individual project requirements. Panel sizes vary from 2.4m up to 3.6m long depending on the
availability of the timber veneer species and substrate required.

The natural variation of timber means each project is individual. No two veneers are exactly alike. The ‘fingerprints’ of nature lift your designs above that achievable with other similar man-made alternatives. The Deco range of natural veneers encompasses a myraid of possibilities for your residential or commerical project. As well as every timber species being unique in appearance, there will also be colour, grain and patternvariation from log to log in a single species.

Different slicing techniques will also produce completetly different grain and pattern characteristics, and different sized logs will result in different width flitches. Therefore, when planning on specifiying or fabricating using natural veneers, project planning with our Veneer Experts is recommended. WORLDWIDE TIMBER TRADERS SMOKED COLLECTION

A collection of sophisticated natural veneers, that have been colour altered through either asmoking or dying process to enhance the unique grain and pattern of the timber species while offereing more contemporary colours. The Eucalypt species can achieve Group 1 fire rating when pressed on to particular fire rated substrates and are also available with PEFC certification for those projects that need to meet Green Star building requirements.

Due to the natural feature and colour variation inherent to these veneers, we generally recommend that they are fabricated in a plank/ mismatch pattern and advise that if you have a specific aesthetic outcome you are trying to achieve, we recommend consulting with our Veneer Experts to plan your project.
