What are your business trading hours?

Our office hours are:
Monday – Friday:  7:30am – 4:30pm (The yard closes for pick-ups at 3:30pm)
Public Holidays: CLOSED
*Other special hours such as Christmas holiday periods may vary in opening times.

Can anyone buy from Worldwide Timber Traders?

Yes! Our products and services are open to industry professionals such as; architects, builders, cabinet makers, right through to DIY’ers / general public.

Do you have to have an account to purchase?

Not at all. Some customers will qualify to apply for an account but for all other customers, we accept cash, credit card* and bank transfer payments.

Is there an extra charge for paying by credit card?

Yes. Unfortunately, we need to charge a 1% fee for choosing to pay via credit card, we also don’t accept Diners or Amex cards.

What does MR/HMR stand for and what does it mean?

MR/HMR stands for Moisture Resistance or High Moisture Resistance. In short, it means that the boards have a greater tolerance to moisture than standard raw board by adding a special resin to the board which gives it that resistance.

What is the difference between laminate and laminated timber?

Laminated timber is not a laminate stuck on timber, but rather the process of gluing lengths together to form the desired width.
