Plywood is a manufactured wood panel made from thin sheets of wood veneer. Plywood layers are glued together, with each veneer being placed at a rotation of up to 90 degrees below the previous one – this gives plywood it’s strength.

LITE PLY PLYWOOD

LIGHTWEIGHT INTERIOR PLYWOOD

Lightweight-Ply

Often used as a substrate for laminated benchtops, Lite WBP Plywood has the advantage of being lightweight, making it labour friendly and easier to handle. This interior plywood in generaly light in appearance and is manufactured with a moisture proof bond which delays the process of splitting and rotting. It is recommended that Lite WBP Plywood is not used for structural applications or exterior use.

RB LAUAN INTERIOR PLYWOOD

Lauan-Ply-1

Lauan Ply is a non-structural interior grade, tropical, hardwood plywood that has many home and hobby applications and is readily available at Worldwide Timber Traders. The veneers are glued together in layers to make a soft plywood product with a smooth face. The few defects are filled and sanded smooth, but this means that the timber is best used for applications where the face will be painted. Not suitable for structural applications or exterior use.

BB/CC EXTERIOR PLYWOOD

Furniture Grade Plywood

Imported BB/CC Grade Plywood is quite strong and durable for a non-structural product. Ideal for situations where the appearance of only one face is important, both faces come sanded, making them easier for painting and staining. BB/CC Grade Plywood can be used for minimal exposure applications but it is highly recommended to treat the plywood with a H3 treatment and finish the product with paint or water repellant to minimise surface checking.

FLEXI-PLY PLYWOOD

Designed and manufactured for internal use, Flexi-ply has the ability to bend at a tight radius. The face is cut in long grain (across the length) and short grain (across the width), making the plywood an ideal base for a range of decorative applications, and a suitable substrate for pressing natural veneers onto.
